My Thomas Story Library is a series of five minute stories for young children featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and other engines and friends from the Island of Sodor.
With 55 titles currently in the series, My Thomas Story Library books are ideal for young children. Each book is named for a particular engine or friend on the Island of Sodor railway. The 27 page books feature large print text on one page opposite a full-page colour illustration. In each story, there is a lesson to be learned about the benefits of good behaviour and consequences of bad behaviour. My Thomas Story Library Titles 1 - 15Thomas – Everyone’s favourite little blue tank engine learns not to tease the bigger engines and helps James in an emergency. James – James’ pride in his shiny red coat of paint causes him to make too many mistakes because he isn’t paying attention. Donald and Douglas – The twin Scottish engines arrive together, but The Fat Controller only needs one new engine. Donald and Douglas must work hard to show that they can both be useful. Toby – Toby is a friendly tram engine. He is old fashioned and is about to be retired until he and his carriage Henrietta are discovered by The Fat Controller. Bulgy – A double-decker bus that doesn’t like engines, Bulgy tricks passengers into taking the bus instead of the train home. His pride and tricks cause problems for the passengers and himself. Elizabeth – A long-abandoned vintage sentinel lorry, Elizabeth discovers that it is nice to be useful and to help others again. Cranky - Cranky is the dockside crane who lives up to his name. He discovers that saying mean things to others can have unfortunately consequences. Terence – Thomas teases Terence the tractor about his caterpillar tracks, but Terence shows him that being different can be useful. Skarloey – Skarloey is 100 years old and helped to build the Little Railway. He had to learn that useful engines work hard and always do their best. Mavis – Mavis is a quarry engine who wants to pull trucks on the main line. She won’t listen to Toby’s advice and ends up causing problems through her pride and silly tricks. Percy – Percy is a cheeky tank engine who loves playing tricks, but one day he must be brave as he brings his train home through a storm. Bill and Ben - These twin engines think that working in the quarry is boring until an emergency shows them how important their job is. Sir Handel – Sir Handel is new to the Little Railway. He insults his carriages and is lazy, but he discovers that it is important to be polite and work hard. Oliver – Oliver is a Great Western Engine about to be scrapped until he is rescued and taken to The Fat Controllers railway. Bulstrode – A disagreeable barge always causing trouble, Bulstrode annoys Percy one day with his rude comments and finds himself getting more than he bargained for.
