My Thomas Story Library is a series of five minute stories for young children featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and other engines and friends from the Island of Sodor.
With 55 titles currently in the series, My Thomas Story Library book are ideal for young children. Each book is named for a particular engine or friend on the Island of Sodor railway. The 27 page books feature large print text on one page opposite a full-page colour illustration. In each story, there is a lesson to be learned about the benefits of good behaviour and consequences of bad behaviour. My Thomas Story Library Titles 16 - 30Gordon – Gordon is very proud but one day he discovers that boasting to others can become embarrassing when he makes a mistake. Edward - Edward the blue engine is one of the oldest engines on the Island of Sodor. Duncan – Duncan is a narrow-gauge engine who complains about his passengers until Skarloey reminds him how important the passengers are. Salty – Salty is a dockyard diesel. He is disappointed to be sent away from the sea to the quarry to work, but works hard anyway and is rewarded for his efforts. Stepney – Sent to help Mavis and Toby at the quarry, Stepney the Bluebell engine forgets that The Fat Controller told him to return before nightfall and becomes lost travelling home in the dark. Duck – When Duck, a Great Western Engine, arrives at the Sodor Railway, he refuses to let the big engines push him around because he is new. Henry – Henry is often ill and finds it hard to work hard. The Fat Controller gives him one last chance with some special Welsh coal and Henry shows that he is still a really useful engine. Harold – Harold the helicopter thought he was better than the engines because he had wings. Percy challenged him to a race and Harold discovers that engines can travel quickly too. Peter Sam – Peter Sam is a narrow-gauge engine that loses his funnel. His new Giesl funnel is a funny shape and the other engines tease him, but he discovers that his new funnel allows him to work much harder and faster. Emily – The other engines are unfriendly when Emily, a Single Stirling engine, first arrives at Sodor, but they soon realise that appearances can be deceiving. Trevor – Edward finds Trevor the traction engine at the scrap yard and makes plans to find someone who can rescue him so that Trevor can be useful again. Bertie – Bertie the Bus challenges Thomas to a race as they try to find out who can deliver their passengers to the final station the fastest. Diesel – The Fat Controller brings Diesel to the Sodor Railway to help while Percy is away, but Diesel is mean to the other engines. Eventually he discovers that it can feel nice to help someone else. Daisy – Daisy the diesel rail-car is lazy and doesn’t want to work hard when she visits the Sodor Railway. She learns that it is best to help others and work together to get the job done. Spencer – Spencer is very proud and won’t listen to the advice of the other engines, causing him embarrassment as he runs out of water and loses a race.
