My Thomas Story Library is a series of five minute stories for young children featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and other engines and friends from the Island of Sodor.

With 55 titles currently in the series, My Thomas Story Library books are ideal for young children. Each book is named for a particular engine or friend on the Island of Sodor railway. The 27 page books feature large print text on one page opposite a full-page colour illustration. In each story, there is a lesson to be learned about the benefits of good behaviour and consequences of bad behaviour.

My Thomas Story Library Titles 31 - 45

‘Arry and Bert – ‘Arry and Bert are mean diesels that like to play tricks on the steam engines, but one Hallowe'en their tricks backfire and they get into trouble.

George – George the steamroller is proud and thinks that he is better than the railway engines. When he takes the time to get to know the engines, he discovers that he can be friends with them.

Jack – When Jack the frontloader first comes to Sodor he gets into trouble with the rest of The Pack for rushing. Eventually Jack shows that he can be really useful too.

Annie and Clarabel – Thomas’ coaches love travelling the railway with him and one day they get a chance to help Thomas when he is in trouble.

Rheneas – Rheneas works on the Little Railway. He doesn’t think that he has any important jobs to do until he discovers that all the jobs on the railway are important.

Fergus – Bill and Ben tease Fergus the traction engine when he comes to help at the quarry, but eventually they discover that his message to always “do things right” is important.

Mighty Mac – Mighty Mac is an engine with two faces, Mighty and Mac. There is trouble with Mighty and Mac can’t co-operate to get a job done on time.

Harvey – The other engines are unfriendly to Harvey the crane because he looks different, but when they are in trouble they discover that Harvey’s differences make him very useful.

Rusty – Rusty is a diesel engine who helps at the quarry. He gets distracted from his work helping his friends, but is given permission to help repair the Little Railway when he asks.

Molly – Molly doesn’t feel very special because she pulls empty trucks. When the coal plant needs extra trucks quickly, Molly discovers that her job is important too.

Arthur – Arthur is proud of his spotless record when he arrives on Sodor, but Thomas plays a trick on him that almost ruins his record on his first day at work.

Caroline – Caroline is a car who doesn’t like engines, until she discovers that engines can be very helpful if they are given the chance.

Murdoch – Murdoch doesn’t like talking with the other engines and isn’t very friendly until he discovers that friends are important.

Neville – The other engines think that Neville is friends with the diesels when he arrives on Sodor and won’t be friends with him. They eventually discover that they have misunderstood and apologise for treating Neville badly.

Freddie – Freddie returns to the railway and is upset to discover that he is no longer the fastest engine on Sodor. He cheats in a race with Skarloey and Rheneas, but discovers that coming first isn’t always important.

Published by Egmont UK and based on the The Railway Series by Rev W Awdry, The Thomas Library is periodically updated to include new engines and characters.

Dimensions of 13 x 15 cm allow these books to be easily included in a handbag or child’s backpack for easy entertainment when out and about. They are also relatively inexpensive, making them ideal for star chart prizes or incentives.
