Oct 27, 2008 Susan Whelan

My Thomas Story Library is a series of five minute stories for young children featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and other engines and friends from the Island of Sodor.

With 55 titles currently in the series, My Thomas Story Library books are ideal for young children. Each book is named for a particular engine or friend on the Island of Sodor railway. The 27 page books feature large print text on one page opposite a full-page colour illustration. In each story, there is a lesson to be learned about the benefits of good behaviour and friendship and consequences of bad behaviour and mistreating others.

Jeremy – Thomas is jealous of Jeremy the jet plane until he realises that even though he can’t fly like Jeremy, he can still be really useful.

Hector – The other engines have called the large new truck Hector the Horrid, but Thomas discovers that Hector acts mean because he is frightened about having to try something new.

BoCo – BoCo takes Bill and Ben’s trucks by mistake so they decide to play a trick on him. Edward reminds them that it is important to get the job done properly instead of being silly.

Billy – Billy is new to Sodor and thinks that Thomas is too bossy. He learns that Thomas is just trying to be helpful and it is a good idea to listen to his instructions.

Whiff – Emily doesn’t want to work with Whiff because he is scruffy and dirty. She is embarrassed when the other engines see them together, but discovers that they can only get the job done properly when they work together.
